So, I guess I really like bow back tops! I didn’t realize until I had already started to put this post together that the top in last Thursday’s also has a bow on the back. Really though, who doesn’t love a giant bow?! I ordered this top from Charming Charlie a few months ago, but I actually didn’t love it when I first put it on. The peplum a little lower than I like to go, and I wasn’t sure if it was overemphasizing my hips. But, I decided that I liked the lightweight fabric and the bow back so much that I didn’t care. Sometimes you just have to tell your inner voice to shut up and just wear what you want, right?
Also, things have been crazy the past few weeks, with quite a bit of travel and a lot on my mind. I started to feel a little under the weather over the weekend, and I think it was a friendly reminder from the Universe that I need to take better care of myself, especially when I have a lot going on. There’s nothing wrong with saying no to an invitation or leaving something for tomorrow if it means you get a chance to recharge. Fortunately, we’re leaving for a week in Maine on Saturday and I think a little R&R by the ocean will do me a lot of good.

The cuteness of the bow definitely compensates for the sub-par peplum, and I love the summery striped pattern too!
