I don’t know about you, but I’ve been struggling to get dressed in the morning with these in between temps. It’s still getting up to the high 70s and low 80s in NYC, and I just want it to be a little cooler so I can fully break out my fall wardrobe! Until that happens, I’m trying to find a happy medium, like combining this burgundy dress (last seen here) with three quarter sleeves, and a long vest. Because the dress is a fit and flare silhouette, it balances out the drapey vest, and the length of both pieces allows me to show off an office-appropriate amount of leg. Win-win!
My best friend Elena snapped these pictures for me earlier this week. The added bonus of my new job is that she and I now work in the same building again! Being able to meet up for a quick breath of fresh air and a hug is pretty awesome, and I’m grateful that she’s willing to play photog too. Our building is in a fun part of Greenwich Village among the buildings of NYU, and I’m really excited to explore more. The job itself is great too, and I’m very glad I made the switch! I’ll share more about what I’m doing soon.

I love that the vest & dress hit at almost exactly the same spot. Looks extra-chic.
