Super excited about today’s post because this was a really easy outfit to put together, but it turned out so cute together! These green gingham shorts are the most comfortable. They’re linen, which I usually avoid because it tends to wrinkle, but we snapped these pictures after some time at the dog park, and they still look great. I also really love the little ties at the waist (scroll down for a more detailed shot). Green isn’t usually I color I gravitate towards, but when I saw these in the store, I knew I wanted them. To offset the “bold” color choice, I paired my gingham shorts with chambray and neutral accessories. It’s nice to be casual, but still look put together, and this look accomplished that for me.
Our Memorial Day weekend was pretty low key. Although I was initially sad we hadn’t planned a getaway, it was actually really nice to be home. My husband has been working A LOT on a big deal the last month or so, and it’s been hard. I can’t remember the last time we ate dinner together before Friday, or the last time he spent less than an hour a day working (even on the weekends). Things are finally quieting down for him and it was so great to get things done around the apartment and just spend time together. Bones was really happy too. Although he and I play and snuggle plenty, Daddy is the one who will run around with him and wrestle, so it’s definitely a different vibe when he’s around…and we love it! How was your MDW?
