When my husband and I first moved in together, we lived in what’s known as South Slope, an up and coming area just south of Park Slope proper. On Friday, we headed to Brooklyn to celebrate a good friend’s birthday and were excited to walk by our old apartment and stop in at our favorite neighborhood spot for dinner. Although I don’t miss the commute, Brooklyn has a certain charm that Manhattan sometimes lacks.
Although I initially wanted to wear a dress, it got pretty chilly as the sun was beginning to set. So, I opted for an easy outfit with jeans and a couple of light layers, channeling the laid-back Brooklyn vibe.
