Crop tops are super cute, but they can be kind of terrifying if you have curves…and also if you’re over 21. My favorite way to wear a crop top is with a midi skirt. Midis are usually high waisted, so I don’t show too much skin, and I feel like I’m balancing out the length of the top with a longer skirt. The best part is that if you add another layer (or find a longer crop top), you can totally wear this combination to work! This eyelet crop top is new to my wardrobe from a sale at J.Crew, and turns out it looks super cute with a gingham skirt! My office tends more casual in the summer, so I can get away with a denim jacket and espadrille sneaks, but this look would also work with a cardigan and more traditional flats.
This week has been a little crazy, especially since I was away last weekend, so I’m really glad tomorrow’s Friday. We’re having a party on Saturday, so it won’t be the quietest weekend, but I can’t wait to be surrounded by friends with a cocktail in hand!
