Cropped Sweatshirt

On Saturday, it was windy and cold in the city…and yet, we decided it would be a good idea to walk 20 blocks to bring the dog to the vet for his annual check-up…and then 20 blocks back. Even crazier, I took off my coat to snap these pictures in front of this colorful restaurant, but I just had to share this pretty pink cropped sweatshirt that I picked up at Forever 21 in Kansas City. Please excuse my awkward frozen faces and appreciate this take on “athleisure,” also known as it was cold and I didn’t want to put on real clothes 🙂

I love that statement sleeves are in for spring, and I wanted to find a way to wear this lightweight sweatshirt while it was still cold out. So, I layered it over a long-sleeve tee and kept things comfy with my coziest pair of joggers. To be honest, although I really like it, this isn’t my most flattering outfit or my best set of photos. I wasn’t sure about sharing it, and I kept thinking that maybe I should have tucked the shirt in to better camouflage some of my least favorite parts. But, this is me in all of my curvy, windblown goodness, so why not be real?

Also, I got my hair cut and highlighted on Friday and I really love it! You can’t really see the cut here because of the wind, but this Insta captures it really well.
