Happy Cyber Monday! I hope you’re doing a little shopping today! There are so many good deals, and you’ll be happy later if you get a head start on your holiday shopping now. I did some shopping over the weekend, and I’m sure I’ll do more today. Plus, I’m stopping into one of my favorite sample sales on my way to work. The J.Crew + Madewell sample sale is always so good, and it’s actually where I got the flannel shirt that I’m wearing in this post! I love flannel for cold days, and although it looks great with a simple pair of jeans and sneakers, you can dress it up easily too. For Thanksgiving, I styled my flannel shirt with faux leather leggings and booties. Adding jewelry always helps up the dressiness factor too!
These faux leather leggings were crazy affordable during the Nordstrom sale, but they’re still budget-friendly at full price. They also have an elastic waistband, which I totally appreciated on Thanksgiving, and they’re not too heavy. I will say that they are a little long on me, and there was some bunching happening, but it didn’t take away from the comfort level at all.
We spent the second half of last week at my mom’s house on Long Island. My in-laws joined us for Thanksgiving, and it was great to have everyone together. I love cooking with my mom and just spending quality time together. She’s really great with Bones too, and always buys him special treats and new toys. We’re all so lucky to have her!
