It’s easy to forget how many amazing things this city has to offer when you live here and get caught up in the grind every day. My office is in Midtown, aka tourist central, and it’s hard to see past the chaos. But, last weekend was a great reminder that we need to get out and explore more. My best friend and I paid a visit to The Met, checking out a few exhibits and enjoying a drink on the rooftop. We snapped these pictures before we went in, and I love how they turned out! This outfit is the perfect combination of high and low. I snapped up this embroidered tee at Forever 21 at the beginning of the summer (sold out, but there’s one with strawberries!), and the skirt was a Kate Spade Surprise Sale find. The combo is so summery and definitely channeling some picnic vibes!
After the Met, we met up with my husband and took the subway to Queens to check out the Queens International Night Market. It’s an open-air market with an amazing assortment of food and art from cultures around the world, which takes place (obviously) on select Saturday nights from April through October. Our friend’s brother has a latke (potato pancake) stand, and their grilled cheese is out of this world. Definitely check out the market if you’re looking for a weekend adventure!

P.S. If you read any other fashion blogs, you know that today is the beginning of Early Access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I don’t know about you, but my feed is oversaturated with everyone’s picks…and I don’t even have early access. I’ll be sharing some of my favorites from the sale when it’s open to everyone, so stay tuned.
