Since I have been bred since birth by my ballet teachers to stand on pointe for hours on end, I have been graced with the ability to wear heels. With that being said: I completely think that investing in a good pair of flats is important! A patterned pair of flats can save your life, because they can work with jeans, dresses, skirts, shorts, and transform from fancy to casual, while still being comfortable and allowing you to dance the night away (without losing three inches and sticking to the gross dance floor). I recommend purchasing a patterned or embellished pair of flats and treating them as part of your own neutral color palate. By doing this, you can more easily mix-and-match patterns, prints, and fabrics!
