Hello and Happy Monday! As I mentioned last week, we spent Friday and Saturday observing the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur with my in-laws. It’s a fasting holiday, and we’re in temple for most of the day, so I wanted to wear something that was modest and comfortable. This faux wrap dress is an oldie, but a goodie! The silhouette is incredibly flattering to my pear shape, and I love both the volume in the sleeves and the classic black and white houndstooth pattern. I kept things simple with black accessories and minimal jewelry because the dress makes a pretty bold statement on its own.
I also have to mention my newest hair obsession: amika’s Polished Perfection Straightening Brush. I have fine, wavy hair, and I like to shower at night, which means I end up styling my hair in the morning. There’s never enough time, and more often than not, I end up throwing my hair in a ponytail or a messy bun. After reading a lot about this new tool from amika, I decided to give it a try (with the help of a birthday gift card!), and I’m really loving it so far. The brush heats up quickly and does a great job smoothing strands. If you’re looking for stick straight, a flat iron will do a better job, but if you want natural looking hair with beautiful body, definitely check it out. I used it several hours before these photos were taking, and my hair still looks pretty great! (PS this is not sponsored, just wanted to share!)
