Have you ever bought something even though you had no idea when you would wear it? I found this floral maxi skirt at the last Rent the Runway sample sale and fell in love. It fit well, and didn’t drown my petite frame…and it was only $25! That was partly because there was some damage, but even after I got it repaired, it was still a fraction of the original price. Once the skirt was in my closet, I kept trying it on, but it felt too dressy for an ordinary night out. But, on Saturday we had a family Bar Mitzvah at a conservative synagogue, and it was the perfect occasion to debut the skirt. It’s comfortable and it has a ton of movement. The weather was chilly, so I wore tights underneath, which was probably for the best because it was also windy and there were a few moments when it was moving too much!
I mentioned last week how much I’ve been loving Old Navy’s selection lately. Another brand that’s making a major comeback is Abercrombie. I never thought I would wear their clothes in my 30s, but their aesthetic has definitely matured. This wrap top is a recent A&F buy, and it looks great with a cami underneath or without. Wrap silhouettes are universally flattering, so something like this in a neutral is a great piece to have in your closet. Where are you shopping lately? I always love checking out new places!
