Holiday parties are a lot of work, so I like to go the extra mile for the people who invite us into their home at this time of year. Instead of just bringing a bottle of wine, add a cute bottle stopper or a corkscrew with a funny saying. If the host and/or hostess likes to cook, try to get something fun and functional for their kitchen. If you want to bring flowers, put them in a pretty glass vase or ceramic pot. Give them a candle and a pretty holder. You don’t have to spend a lot on hostess gifts, but it’s nice to put some thought into it since they have no doubt put a lot of work into hosting the party. These gift ideas are also great for the party planners among your friends and family who aren’t hosting this holiday season. Think about what you’ve seen them use when they’ve had you over, or something you noticed they didn’t have. A personalized touch is always great too! These hostess gifts are all under $50, and I’m willing to bet they’ll get you invited back.
