Full disclosure: I put this outfit together for the sole purpose of taking pictures and giving you some inspiration for what to wear to your next holiday party…but, I would totally wear it again if I got an invite somewhere fun! The holiday season is the perfect excuse to put on something sparkly and go all out! I love this short sleeve sequin top paired with a festive plaid skirt and sparkly heels. The skirt is really versatile and flattering for my pear shape in an A-line wrap silhouette. It’s super warm too, which will be essential as winter keeps creeping in. I featured this top in a three ways to wear holiday sparkle post a few weeks ago, and I would definitely style it with jeans like I did there. For me, it’s not just about shopping the sales, but that even the most unique pieces in my closet can be re-imagined and worn again.
Even before Thanksgiving, the Christmas trees were already taking over sidewalks and street corners in our neighborhood. While I don’t celebrate Christmas, I do love the lights and decorations, so it’s fun to see things transform. That said, although the trees are pretty, they do make walking the dog a bit more challenging…but I couldn’t resist snapping these photos there anyway!
This weekend, I’m making a quick trip to Dallas with my best friend, and I know there will be some food ‘grams in my future, so stay tuned!
