Since it’s still winter in New York, I wanted to share some easy weekend outfits to get you through. My favorite jeggings are a regular in the rotation, and I love that they’re super stretchy and comfortable, but still have structure. They come in a bunch of different washes and colors, but I’ve found this light-medium blue to be pretty versatile. Because they’re high-waisted, these jeggings work with cropped tops like this leopard sweatshirt.
It was so nice to be home this long weekend! We spent time with friends and crossed some things off of our to-do list. But, the weekend got off to an unexpected start. On Valentine’s Day, we decided to stay in and order dinner. At around 9 that night, a fire broke out in our building, three floors down from our apartment. It was scary, and sadly the older man who lived there lost his life. Thankfully, it was likely caused by an accident, and because our building is fireproof, the flames didn’t spread beyond that one apartment. Even so, any loss of life is sad, and feeling unsafe in your own home is jarring to say the least. I’m so grateful that we were unharmed and our apartment didn’t suffer any damage. Just a reminder that you never know what each day will bring…and to be careful with fire inside.
