One Shoulder Bow Top

Although I used to visit Sarasota every year with my family, we tended to stick to our favorite places. But when I realized my husband and I were going there on our last minute trip, I decided wanted to check out some new places too. Stephanie had recently posted the prettiest photos from the Ringling Museum of Art, so we decided to check it out. It was warm that day, so I wore a new top and a denim skirt. How fun is this one shoulder bow top?! A few bloggers posted about it and I happened to find it on sale (it’s still available!). Some people think that curvy girls can’t wear horizontal stripes, but I think it depends on the fit and cut of what you’re wearing. The one shoulder, plus the statement-making bow draw the eye up, and because I tucked in my top, it fits close to my body and highlights my waist. Don’t let anybody tell you that you can’t wear something. If you can find a way to wear it that emphasizes your best features and makes you feel good, go for it!

I also have to mention the accessories in this outfit. I wanted a circular straw bag for spring and summer, but I wasn’t willing to pay the high price for the classic Claire V. Searching new arrivals at Express, I stumbled upon this version. It’s black, which works for my color palette, and actually holds a lot without being bulky. Also, these sandals were all over my Instagram feed. I usually hate being one to jump on the bandwagon, but I actually needed to replace my flat white sandals, so I ordered them. They’re very comfortable and they go with everything…I think I wore them at some point every day that we were in Florida! Now I just need spring to get here so I can wear them at home too!
