When we were in Aruba, I tried not to do too much shopping, but we passed Zara the day we were walking around downtown Oranjestad and they were having a sale. I knew my husband would only be patient for ten minutes at most, so I did some speed shopping and came away with a few great deals, including this ruffle sleeve sweater. I actually totally forgot about these pictures when I was putting together Friday’s ruffle roundup, but in case you saw it and were wondering how to actually style something with statement ruffles, here you go!
I decided to let the sweater speak for itself and went pretty minimal with everything else. My earrings and bag are recent additions from the latest Kate Spade Surprise Sale. The bag came in a beautiful teal color too, but I knew that I would get a lot more wear out of black, and I just couldn’t resist the giant bow!
Also, I had the chance to try out Chanel VITALUMIERE AQUA Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup (thanks to People StyleWatch), and I loved how it was light, but covered really well. The day we took these pictures was super bright, so I look a little washed out in some of the full-length ones, but you can tell from the photo below how great the coverage is and that it adds a little glow.
Full disclosure: as you can see, there was still snow on the ground, so I wore boots and carried these mules to put on for pictures. I try not to do that whenever possible, but my feet were grateful to only be freezing for a little bit! Can’t wait until it warms up enough to wear these full time.
