On Saturday, it was unseasonably warm for the end of November. We took advantage of the beautiful day and spent the afternoon in Carl Schurz Park. Although we love Central Park, Carl Schurz is equally beautiful and a lot less overwhelming. There are two dog runs, so it’s great for Bones, and gorgeous views of the East River. It was so nice out that I didn’t even need a jacket, and wore this striped poncho sweater over a light turtleneck. We stopped at the dog run first, and I realized as I was editing these pics that clearly Bones put his dirty paws on my left leg at some point….so, points for authenticity, right? Lol. Also, as you know, I LOVE fall foliage, so I was really happy to see that the colorful leaves were holding on a little longer!
Saturday night, we had a bunch of friends over for drinks and we played a new game. Although it’s fun to go out in NYC, I’ve always preferred getting together at someone’s apartment. I love hosting, and I always make sure to put out good snacks. This weekend, I got to use my new cheeseboard that our friend Les got us as a housewarming present. It’s hard to believe that we’ve already been in our “new” place for almost three months. I’ve shared a few sneak peeks on Instagram, but hopefully I’ll be able to post a more complete apartment tour soon!
Bones did not like when I hopped up on this wall, so hubs gave him a boost and tried to get him to smile. He looks so funny, like he’s disembodied and totally pissed, but I swear he was happy to be where Mommy was! So hard to believe, but the little guy is turning three tomorrow! Can’t wait to celebrate with pupcakes and new toys 🙂
