Striped Shirtdress

September might be around the corner, but summer’s not over yet! This cute little striped shirtdress is perfect for summer, but you could also pair it with a chunky cardigan and booties when the temperatures cool down. I usually don’t go for this silhouette, and I actually tried it belted too, but I liked it better without. The lace-up top draws the eye up and the vertical stripes elongate my petite frame, so it’s not like I’m just wearing a sheet. Plus, who wants to be constricted on vacation?! My friend Linda from Trendy On A Budget snapped these pics when she and her husband Dan met us in Maine for the day last week. We had dinner at a great restaurant next to this lighthouse, and the sunset was especially gorgeous!

My husband and I have been taking trips to Maine for the past few summers, and this time we ended up staying in a different town then usual. It was fun to check out new places, but we were still close enough to visit our old favorites. I’m planning to put together a travel guide, so stay tuned!
