Style How To: Monochrome

I’m always so impressed when someone pulls off the monochromatic look. It’s so hard to find pieces that go well together…in a color that isn’t offensive to the eyes when you’re wearing it from head to toe. But, just because it’s difficult, doesn’t mean it’s impossible. Here, I went with lilac, one of my favorite pastel shades, and put together an outfit with a lot of texture and visual interest. The accessories and shoes could easily be replaced by something neutral or metallic, if you don’t want to go all out. Don’t worry if your pieces don’t match exactly, but make sure they are complimentary shades. As always, look for versatile pieces that you could wear again with something else.
