Remember how I said that burgundy is the color of the moment? Well, I’ve been buying a lot of it as I refresh my wardrobe for fall, and this suede moto jacket (included in that post) has quickly become one of my favorites. It’s one of the softest jackets I’ve ever worn, and I love that it looks expensive even though it’s actually only $60. I paired the jacket with a white sweater shell, navy midi skirt and booties for work earlier this week, and it would also work with jeans and flats for the weekend.
When I started my new job, I was really excited to be in a new part of the city. My previous job was in the Midtown West neighborhood, and it just wasn’t a nice area. Now, I’m in Greenwich Village near NYU and the Bowery, and there are so many beautiful blocks with tons of character. I spotted this particular block (called Washington Mews), and knew I had to shoot there. Thankfully, my new friend and co-worker Ally was more than happy to snap these pictures for me after work, and she did such a good job that I think this will be the first time of many! I’m really grateful that everyone has been so nice and welcoming. Starting at a new place is tough, but it’s been wonderful so far, and I know I made the right decision!
