As much as I love sweaters, there are only so many days in a row that I can wear them without getting bored. So, I like to get creative with winter layering, and when I saw Jess post this look in November, I knew I wanted to try something similar. Obviously, I’m all about velvet these days, and this pretty, feminine cami is a fun addition to my wardrobe. It works over a white shirt like this or a black turtleneck, and you could also style it with a blazer or a cardigan.
It was flurrying on Saturday when we snapped these pictures, and the frigid temps stuck around. But, that didn’t stop us from enjoying the long weekend! We crossed some things off our to-do list, but also did a lot of nothing, which is a welcome change from our busy work schedules. Probably the most exciting thing we did was book a little winter getaway for next month! We’re headed to Turks & Caicos, a place I’ve never been to, but have always wanted to visit. If you’ve been and you have suggestions for things to do, see, or eat, please share in the comments!
On New Year’s Eve, we went to dinner at the new-ish Quality Eats in our neighborhood, and it was super tasty! I had a cocktail with cotton candy in it, which was delicious and festive. After dinner, we had some drinks and played games with our best friends at our place. It was the perfect low-key evening, and a great way to kick off 2018!
