This weekend, we celebrated my mom’s birthday. It was a milestone, so we wanted to make it extra special! My aunt flew in on Friday, and I hosted my cousins, aunt and mom for brunch on Saturday. That night, I went out to my mom’s place on Long Island with her and my aunt, and yesterday was lunch with her closest friends. My mom is my best friend. She’s smart and funny, and one of the most creative people I know. It was so fun to celebrate with her, and I can’t wait for the final celebration, a mother-daughter trip over the summer! We still have to decide where we’re going, but I know it will be a lot of fun. For Sunday’s lunch, I wore this wrap top that I picked up during the latest Nordstrom sale. The wrap silhouette is flattering on pretty much everyone, and I love how this top in particular compliments my shape. The sleeves are fun too!
It was just warm enough to break out my backless loafers. This pair is from Target and they are super affordable and very comfortable.
In case you missed it on Instagram, I got a haircut a couple of weeks ago and had my color freshened up too. I like having highlights that make my hair more vibrant, but I want them to look natural. More than once, they’ve been too blonde and I haven’t been totally happy, but Daisy at Rogue House Salon did an amazing job with this balayage color!
