Back At It

A couple of years ago, I decided to step away from La Petite Pear and start a new blog called Sale Rack Style. I thought that I wanted to focus more on sale shopping and how to get the most out of life without spending a lot. While it was fun, the truth is, it just didn’t work out like I thought it would.

I did a lot of thinking while we were away in Aruba, and I shared a bunch of photos on Instagram. The ones that were the most popular (with the highest engagement), were my outfits, and the favorite was a picture of me in a bikini where I shared my thoughts on loving your body. I realized that I really miss being able to represent and connect with all of the ladies out there who don’t fit into society’s cookie cutter images. I know it can be hard to flip through magazines and scroll through blogs and wonder how someone like you could wear something like that. No matter your size or shape, you can look and feel beautiful and my hope is that sharing my personal style will inspire you to wear what you want and wear it well. So, I decided to come back to La Petite Pear with renewed focus and valuable perspective…and I gave the site a chic little makeover to start fresh.

Another thing I realized is that I want to share more than style. I love to travel, eat, entertain, read and explore my city, so there will be a lot more lifestyle content on this new & improved version of La Petite Pear. To start off, I have a bunch of great posts from Aruba that I think you’re going to love! Of course, there will still be sale roundups and trend reports, and I’m thinking about bringing back the Fashionistas in Flats series.
