Buffalo Plaid Bomber

Let me tell you about this amazing buffalo plaid bomber! I saw it on Rebecca Minkoff’s Instagram months ago and fell in love. But, I didn’t need another jacket and it was way more than I would spend anyway. Flash forward to a few weeks ago when I saw that the jacket was included in an online sample sale. I immediately ordered it and I was so excited…but then I got an email saying they were out of stock and had to cancel my order. I was sad, but figured it just wasn’t meant to be.

And then…I couldn’t stop thinking about it. So, I did some serious Google searching and found one on eBay. I haven’t bought anything there in years, but I decided to put in an offer and obviously, it was accepted! One of my shopping rules is if you can’t stop thinking about something (and you can afford it), you probably really want it. This jacket was worth the journey! And two red outfits this week, I love it!

If you follow me on Instagram, you got a sneak peek of this outfit last weekend. Since I knew we would be sitting outside in our friends’ backyard, I made sure to layer. These velour leggings are a fall and winter favorite, and I love how they elevate a casual look. We’re laying low this weekend, but Sunday is Bones’ 7th birthday! We’ve had him since he was a tiny ten-week old puppy, and it’s crazy to think how much time has passed. I wasn’t a dog person for most of my life, but I’m so glad I changed my mind. Bones has a big personality for a little dog, and sometimes he drives me crazy, but there is absolutely nothing better than his unconditional love!
