Cheers to Year One

One year ago today, I took a deep breath and clicked publish on my first style post. I was nervous and excited, and couldn’t wait to share my passion for bargain shopping, putting together outfits and making fashion fun. It’s been quite the year, on the blog and off.

• The Pear has a new look and a slightly different name, and it’s come a long way since my first outfit post.
• I went to IFBcon and made new blogger friends.
• I’ve won contests and participated in style-offs.
• More than 20 bloggers and friends have shared their love of flats in the Fashionistas in Flats series.
• There have been giveaways and collaborations.
• I got a new day job!

This blog is truly a labor of love, and I will continue to pour my heart and soul into it every day. I could never thank you all enough for reading, commenting, tweeting and liking! I have big plans and goals for year two:

• Meeting more bloggers online and in person!
• Investing in a DSLR and sharing higher quality images.
• Working with brands who align with my mission of bringing affordable style to petites, pears, and women of all shapes and sizes.
• Providing more insight into how and where to shop if you’re not a typical size or shape.
• Sharing more frequently and creatively on Pinterest and Instagram.
• The continuation of Fashionistas in Flats.
