When Smirnoff invited me to the debut of their new Peppermint Twist flavored vodka, I had no idea that I would be experiencing Christmas in October! I’m generally not a fan of kicking off the holidays super early, but when I saw how Smirnoff took over Diageo’s New York office and bar for a fun holiday-themed event, complete with holiday music and decorative wreaths, I decided I could make an exception.
We were greeted by a rack of ugly Christmas sweaters and told to choose our favorite.
Naturally, I went for the one with a fuzzy polar bear, and added a sparkly Santa hat, jingle bell, Smirnoff mug, and of course, a bottle of vodka to my goody bag.
Next was a table of desserts, all made with Smirnoff Peppermint Twist! My favorite was the brownie, and my date/work bestie, Mackenzie, really liked the cupcakes too. I’m already thinking about which desserts in my repertoire might be getting a little peppermint twist in the near future, so stay tuned!
At the bar, we had the chance to try three cocktails. While I definitely enjoyed the Peppermint Martini, the hot chocolate was far and away my favorite. It’s super easy too, so I will definitely be spiking my hot chocolate all winter long!
