Last Sunday, my friend Mackenzie and I had one of those “only in New York” experiences. We went to an event called Dessert Goals, a dessert “festival” of sorts with sweets galore and tons of Instagram-worthy moments. Dessert Goals was only in town for two weekends, and every time slot sold out quickly. But, last week I happened to notice that they were releasing more tickets, and I quickly texted Mackenzie to see if she would want to go. The only time we could both do was 10 am Sunday morning, but YOLO…right?!
Even though it was still cold out, I wore a colorful striped tee with a dessert theme and paired it with jeans and a fun pair of slip-on sneakers. There was a 70s disco theme, and some people went all out, but I was happy to be casual after a late night out on Saturday.
There were around 20 dessert vendors, with everything from cake pops, to mochi, to boozy ice cream, and milkshakes. We tried a bunch of different desserts, and everything was not only tasty, but beautiful too. The event organizers knew to cater to Insta-crazy Millenials, and set up a bunch of colorful backdrops all over the space. It was a lot of fun and I always love trying new treats! The venue was right on the water too, so we couldn’t resist snapping a few pictures on our way out. Keep scrolling to see more of my outfit and the city skyline.
