Fashion trends are a funny thing, in one season and out another. The best is when trends from previous decades become cool again. They tend to take on a fresh, modern spin, but always harken back to their original incarnation. One trend that has people pulling out their 80s pics for inspiration is the denim on denim look (aka Canadian Tuxedo). Back in the day, it was mom jeans and baggy denim shirts, but today we have skinny jeans and chambray. The key to mastering this trend is to go for different shades of denim. I recommend having the darker shade on the bottom and looking for fitted pieces that compliment your shape. If you’re not so sure about blue on blue, try a chambray shirt with white jeans instead.
