From Work to Weekend: Pear-Friendly Daytime Dresses for Fall

Wearing dresses with tights is one of my favorite looks for Fall! Finding a dress that flatters my pear shape can be a bit of a challenge, but two styles that always look good are shirt dresses and wrap dresses. Details like buttons, collars, and wrap fronts draw the eye up, and a belt, sash or elasticized waist narrows your middle. There are a lot of great dresses out right now in rich colors and bold prints! My latest dress purchase is pictured above (looks great with a black patent leather belt!) Scroll through below for some more of my favorite flattering dresses, at a variety of price points. #3 actually combines the two styles, how fun! Which one’s going on your wish list?

  1. I loooooove the last dress in the slideshow. WANT. I would look totally top-heavy in it, though, sadly…

    • It’s funny, I actually almost didn’t include that one because it doesn’t quite fit the bill. But, adding a belt in a bright color might help draw the eye down if that’s what you’re worried about. I think you would look cute in it!
