At first, I wasn’t sure about the sweater vest trend. Was there a way to make it look cool and polished? I saw this houndstooth sweater vest at Target and later ordered it online. It’s a little boxy, but pairing it with curve-hugging jeans definitely helps. I layered my vest with a button-down, and added some accessories. My goal was to make sure I didn’t look like a teenager without making it too stuffy. How did I do? Also, I bought a few new pairs of curvy jeans (including these), and I’m thinking it’s time to update my curvy jeans guide!
Last weekend, we went to brunch with friends who have a baby close to Seth’s age. It was nice to compare notes and meet their little one. The next day, we drove up to Warwick for a little fall adventure. We met one of my high school besties and her family who we haven’t seen in far too long. Being together was good for my soul, and we had a great time picking apples and watching our kids interact. When I moved to Long Island at 16, I separately befriended two girls in different classes. I soon found out that they were best friends, and their friendship was such a blessing for me during a major time of transition. They continue to be an important part of my life and I’m so grateful for them.
