Loving Lilac

Last Saturday was absolutely gorgeous in NYC! It was a total tease, because as soon as Sunday came around, we were back to chilly temps, but we enjoyed it while it lasted. We spent a few glorious afternoon hours in Central Park with our cousins, including the adorable baby Josh, and Bones (look how cute they were together!). I opted for an easy, casual outfit, featuring the prettiest lilac top and the comfiest chambray pants. Ever since Ultra Violet was announced as the Pantone Color of the Year, I feel like I’ve been seeing shades of purple everywhere…and I’m definitely not mad about it! I was one of those little girls who preferred purple to pink, and I had my room painted two shades of purple as a teenager. I especially love this top because it’s light and flowy, but still flattering. And while drawstring pants aren’t always the most complimentary, I think this pair does a pretty good job. Honestly, when you’re sitting on a picnic blanket with a dog and a baby, comfort is key!
We don’t have much on tap for this weekend, which is totally fine with me. Next weekend, we’re celebrating my bestie’s 30th birthday, and it’s going to be an amazing few days of friendship and fun!
