Peplum Practice

I have to admit, I’ve been on the fence about peplum. Although it can be curve-flattering if it hits in the right place, it can also draw emphasis to the hips if there’s too much fabric in that area or it doesn’t lay perfectly. When I spotted this jacket, I figured it would be the perfect peplum tester piece. It’s cotton, so the shape is flexible, and I absolutely love the cobalt color and contrast black zipper. I wore the jacket over a basic cami, and paired it with boyfriend jeans and booties. At the risk of being too matchy-matchy, I threw on this great quilted bag that I won in a giveaway a couple of years ago. Another fun discovery: my hair is the perfect length for a cute headband!
