Earlier this summer, our best friends won passes to a beach club and invited us to spend a day at the beach with them. So, on Saturday the four of us drove out to Atlantic Beach, only 45 minutes from Manhattan! The beach was perfect and the weather was absolutely beautiful. I wore this adorable ruffled bikini that I found at H&M for less than $30!
This is actually the first bikini I’ve worn in a while that wasn’t high-waisted. I love a high-waist, it’s incredibly flattering to curves, but I’m glad I got out of that comfort zone. Speaking of, I’ve been trying to be more myself when I take pictures for the blog and Instagram. It’s hard to do channel confidence and calm when I’m in the city and there are people literally everywhere. But here on the beach, with the waves crashing in the background, I felt free. Somehow I need to translate that feeling into city life. Deep thoughts for a Monday! Hope your week is off to a great start!
