On Saturday afternoon, my girlfriends and I headed downtown for Chandon’s Summer Féte. Chandon is one of my favorite bubbly brands, and I’ve always wanted to go to this event, but usually RSVP too late. This time, I made sure I got in, texting and emailing my bestie at the same time to make sure she got her name on the list too. Since the party was outside and it was a beautiful summer day, I decided to wear a seersucker wrap dress with block heeled sandals, and a roomy straw tote to carry my camera…and a few party favors!
The event was held at a public park near South Street Seaport called The Elevated Acre. It’s a few floors from street level in the middle of a number of office buildings with a view of both the FDR highway and the water. Basically NYC in a nutshell! The Acre is covered in greenery and has a big lawn where people enjoyed food, drinks and games. Bubbly was flowing (brut and rosé) in Chandon’s adorable summer bottles, and they even had a popsicle cart where they were serving up People’s Pops in champagne. Of course, there were plenty of photo ops, and we took advantage of them all! I also got to meet Rebecca Minkoff, and managed not to fangirl too hard. It was a wonderful way to spend the day. Thanks so much, Chandon!
