Last Thursday, I had the pleasure of attending a Fall Fashion party at the new DSW on the Upper West Side. The event was mainly for Premier Rewards Members, but I won admission through the brand’s Facebook page. I am a big fan of DSW and buy a lot of my shoes there, so I was really excited to be able to go.
The store is located at 79th and Broadway in a great neighborhood. There are tons of stores and restaurants in the surrounding blocks, and it’s fairly easy to get to from other places in the city. Inside, there are three floors. The main floor holds new arrivals, women’s dress shoes, and some handbags. The men’s department is on bottom floor, and the top floor includes women’s casual shoes, boots, athletic shoes, socks, and clearance.
I saw a lot of bows and studs, and entire rows of brightly colored sneakers.
DSW made attendees feel welcome with a string quartet, cocktails, water, and some passed hors d’oeuvres. Everyone also received a complimentary tote bag and mug.
Another great thing about this event was that all purchases received quadruple points! I ended up with several pairs of cute fall shoes, including these sparkly loafers:
Although it was a little overwhelming to be in the store with so many people, I was very grateful for the opportunity! I will definitely visit this store again! The only unfortunate part of the night was that I really liked my outfit, and yet I only got one blurry picture…could be worse!
