Short Suit

I don’t remember the first time I saw someone post a picture in a short suit, but ever since, I’ve been a woman possessed! Sometimes I see a trend I want to try and I will search endlessly to find the perfect way to interpret it. I can’t tell you how long I looked for a suit set that would be flattering for my shape. Finally, I found this one from Amuse Society, and it was included in the Nordstrom sale. I placed my order, and I was a happy girl. But then, I got the dreaded email informing me that they had actually sold out of the shorts before they could fulfill my order. I almost canceled the whole order altogether, but after some panicked searching, I found the shorts in my size on the website of a super cute boutique in Virginia. I really love how the whole outfit came together, so I’m really glad it worked out! My legs are actually one part of my body that I’ve always loved, no matter what other insecurities I’ve had, and I have to say that these shorts make them look good! I know a lot of curvy girls worry a lot about wearing shorts, but I truly believe that anyone can wear them…you just have to find the right pair.

These pictures were taken outside of a restaurant called River & Woods in Boulder, Colorado. We spent the weekend in Boulder for my husband’s cousin’s wedding, and it was so great to be with family in such a beautiful setting. I mentioned in last Thursday’s post that I somehow found myself organizing dinner for 16 of us, and that was what brought us to River & Woods. They were so accommodating, and although I was a little worried that everyone would like it, we all had a great time. The food is amazing, and you definitely have to check it out if you’re in Boulder! I’ll be sharing a couple more outfits from our trip, so stay tuned!
