Spice Up Your Sweaters

It is most definitely sweater weather here in New York, and I couldn’t be more excited. Although I love the sundresses and open-toed shoes of summer, I’m ready for Fall layers and boots. Cardis and pullover sweaters are essential wardrobe pieces, but it’s also fun to spice up your sweater collection. I’m seeing a lot of sweater dresses and sweater jackets. They are both great ways to stay warm and still look stylish and chic!

These dresses all draw the eye to the waist by cinching in some way. This is great for pears and hourglass shapes who may have larger lower halves. I especially love the strategically placed color blocks on the first dress, and of course, the beautiful jewel tones of the other two. The great thing about sweater jackets is that they have more structure than your traditional cardigans, but they’re not as stiff as a blazer. Two out of the three are also available in petite sizes.

Colorblock Dress: The Limited, Rib-Knit Dress: Old Navy, Wrap Dress: Target

Herringbone Jacket: Nordstrom, Texted Jacket: Ann Taylor, Tweed Jacket: Banana Republic
