Hi and Happy Monday! Back to back colds, and a busy season at work led to another unintended posting break. But, my schedule is going to change in the next month (more on that soon), and I’m looking forward to having more time to create content. For today, I’m excited to share my spring and summer mom uniform! Truthfully, this is an excellent outfit formula, whether you have kids or not. Pair a basic tank, tee, or bodysuit with a flattering pair of shorts. Add a chic pair of sneakers. Top with a blazer when you need another layer, or want to look a little more polished. Super simple, but put together, and comfortable for days when you’re on the go. I’m testing out some new denim shorts that are more structured, but I also love this pair. Even though it has an elastic waist, the belt and the fabric make it less casual.
Seth turned eleven months over the weekend, and it’s absolutely crazy that I’m planning his first birthday party. This month was full of so many new experiences including his first flight. We spent a weekend in Dallas and surprised my best friend Elena for her birthday. If you’ve been a reader for a while, you’ve heard about Elena. She and her husband Andrew have lived within ten blocks of us for most of our decade long friendship. Their son was born a few months before Seth, but a fantastic job opportunity took them to Dallas last year. We are so happy for them…but it’s been really hard. Needless to say, we were all overjoyed to see each other, and the look on her face when she saw us is something I will never forget.

Our visit was the big gift, but I wanted to give Elena a little something to keep us connected. So, I got us some “modern friendship bracelets” engraved with the year we met. The perfect addition to my little stack!
