Yesterday was hot in NYC…like in the 90s + humidity hot. We stayed inside in the AC most of the day, but braved the heat to walk the dog. I was planning on taking him to Barkfest, but he was panting going around the block, so no way we were going to Brooklyn.
On the warmest summer days, I want to wear as little clothing as possible, and I want it to be lightweight. Loose, gauzy tops are the perfect solution. Since it also happened to be National Ice Cream Day (aka one of my favorite “holidays”), I put on my sprinkle sneaks and picked up a frozen treat from Mister Softee.
P.S. This hairdo is super easy for when you want your hair off your neck. Put hair into two braids that start at the nape of your neck, then pin them up on your head like a headband. Use clear elastics and wrap the ends strategically for the cleanest look.
Earrings: ModCloth (similar pineapples), Sunnies: Kate Spade Saturday (similar), Top: LOFT (similar in more sizes), Shorts: LOFT, Sneaks: Keds (also love these and these), Bag: Rebecca Minkoff
